A few weeks ago we had four of the kids at the house (our two and two of our nephews). They were all hanging out in the den watching America’s Got Talent. It was getting close to dinner and Brad and I fried up some bacon, scrambled some eggs and put eggos in the toaster. Fancy, huh? Anyway, after everything was hot and ready, we put everything on the table with fancy napkins, sparkling crystal and just set a beautiful table. They were blown away! By eggos! And, it was so much fun seeing their faces when they came to the table.

For a recent important decade birthday (I can’t tell you which one! If you don't know why go back and read my very first blog entry.) Brad took me to NYC for 24 hours! I woke up on Saturday looking forward to a fun day of soccer, basketball and Mexican food. To my intense surprise, I was told to pack a back for 24 hours and get in the car to go to the airport! I spent almost the whole trip saying, “I’m in NYC. I mean, I’m in NYC, right on a weekend!” The kids kept this big secret really well. Maybe a little too well, and now I am suspicious of this ability. ; ) Anyway, you can probably think of lots of examples where you were the giver or receiver of extravagant love. It feels amazing no matter which end of giving and receiving you are on! Think about how much fun God must be having with us, His children, because He gives the most extravagant love of all time.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
