9. A treadmill minute is longer than a regular minute.
As a person that actually enjoys exercise, I can still attest to the validity of this statement. Lately I’ve been working out with in an app that is basically a trainer in your ear. So if you see a crazy lady laughing or smiling to herself on the treadmill at the Y, well….that would be me. The trainer in my ear says, “You better work!” at some point during every workout. Sometimes I think about that when I am doing something that is extremely challenging or unpleasant I remind myself that if I can do X number of minutes doing this hard work out then I can do whatever task that I am being called upon to do at this time. This is is a funny example, but I’m sure you can all think of the most difficult thing you have ever had to get through. Do you find that you call upon that when times are hard? Does it give you a fortitude and strength you may not have had otherwise? Maybe the times that were hard were meant for your good.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
