Some times you Win, Sometimes you Learn

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn
Do you ever think about the amount of experience, memories, and just plain old lessons that come with each year of life? During a few seasons of the different sports our kids play, my husband and I have said to them (or more likely each other), “sometimes you win and sometimes you learn.” Seems like the learning is what happens more often, and honestly, it's probably the more valuable of the two. So, when I decided to write about making connections, encouraging brothers and sisters in Christ and talking with others about my faith, I decided that I would write a lesson I’ve learned for every year I’ve been living. Not a lesson I learned that year, just a lesson for each year I’ve been on Earth. I thought I might tell you how many lessons, but, nah, where’s the fun in that? So grab a pen and paper and jot down the verses for each lesson learned and at the end, we will see how old I wind up being. :)
P.S. Once I got into I realized I’m TOO old to write this kind of list! This may take a year! Just kidding. Sort of. Also, just because I’ve LEARNED these lessons doesn’t mean I’m executing them perfectly. Thank you for your kind understanding.
